This wouldn’t have happened if you had bought a Celsior - it’s the L on the front that kills the reliability.

They all have issues. All of them. That’s why there’s a rebuild service. Toyota fucking sucks at electronics somehow. I’m lucky I don’t have ECU issues as well.

happened last year. Use waze so it will give your speed and memorize gear/rpms to speed.

How long did you expect an electronic part from an early 90s/lte 80s designed car to last?
I think the implied part of the advice was “ buy a [not 20-30yr old 3-5 owner] car."

In terms of Jake things, this is comparatively small bananas.

You don’t need those... just ‘go with the flow of traffic’.
And now I give you a melted speedometer...

expensive bananas.

I’d expect an expensive toyota electrics to hold up at least as well as my ‘91 mazda economy sports car. Or my ‘93 nissan economy sports car. Or my ‘86 Ford cheap muscle car. Or my ‘98 base model Buick. Or my ‘98 Honda econobox with 350k miles on it. All of which retailed for <40% the LS400.
I’ll just stop being poor. Great idea why the fuck didn’t I think of that. Just drop $6k on a 130k 8 year old honda fit. it’s just that easy.

Not as expensive as buying a car every five months

it hasn’t been five months. Don’t get ahead of yourself.

Will Jake keep his newest car for a few more weeks? Or will he buy this LS-swapped toaster on his local Craigslist? Tune into OppoTV every Tuesday night to find out.

In one of the Priuses that my work has the whole dash will occasionally just quit working. The only lights that work are the blinker arrows.
The “fix” is just disconnecting the battery for a minute. In the car’s defense it has 186,000 miles, and I think it’s 12 years old.

“ In the car’s defense it has 186,000 miles, and I think it’s 12 years old.”
That’s nothing tho.

welp...good thing you dont need those... if everyone keeps passing you’re to slow if you keep passing you’re too fast
if you’re ears start bleeding from the engine noise its probably time to shift up

if you can hear the engine in an LS400 something’s probably broken

Idk that’s a lot of city miles. Did I mention it was used for pizza delivery most of its life?
